Hi!

I just had an idea: wouldnt it be cool if there would be a program for pixel editing with a replay tool? The only tool would be the 'pen', the program would record each change, and then would have an option to replay it (or save as animated gif).
Then other could view how one image was done step by step.
(Of course this would work for smaller images)
So, What do you thing?

You might want to try making a pixel picture with only the pen tool. It gets real old fast. Still, with more tools it would be great.

RPG is numberwang.

I tried, it's hard but not impossible :-) And the playuback would be much more interesting with only the pen tool... altough line, circle and fill tools might be ok as well.

Why dont you suggest it here

1) because I'm a programmer also, so I can do it, I just wanted to know if others would be interested in it
2) because that program, as I understood, works only on Windows... but I'm a Linux user :-)

Hehe, no problemo :-)
If I make it,  will probably use SDL, and you can just recompile it on OS X :-)

Why do you have that emoticon behind Linux? Linux is the absolute best operating system currently available and Windows is the absolute sh*ttiest from the big ones.

I smell a flame war in the possible future. People are stubborn as heck about their favorite OSes. I myself am a Windows user and I think Mac OS is teh suck. I've never tried linux though.

(Me = Windows)

You're planning on a artpad thing with pixels. You need the line and fill tools at least >.<
