Hey everyone :)

There's a slim chance that some of you may possibly know the first game we made a long time ago, "Atomic Butcher" (Gameplay Vid, download: Homepage with Download)... So, after all those years, and after gaining quite some experience in the fields of Software Engineering and Game Design, we finally decided to make a sequel to it - the first game was freeware, but this time we want to sell the game - that means, that in the end we (hopefully) will be able to pay you, but currently we can't give you any concrete numbers.

So, what are we looking for exactly?

We need character art as well as environmental art. The game will be created using Unity3D, that means we will not have tiles, but polygonal surroundings, but the game will still be a 2D platformer at its core. Nonetheless, we are going for a Pixel Art-style and will use "modern" effects (lighting etc.) with moderation and in accordance to the rest of the visuals. Apart from that, we are totally open when it comes to the overall art style and are not necessarily trying to recreate the look of the first game too closely. We are also eager to listen to any ideas about level and game design in general and any input/feedback is welcome, that means we want to treat the artist as a full member of our team, not only for outsourcing Asset creation. We do not want to restrict ourselves by recreating the original too closely, it is just a ... starting point, of sorts. On the other hand, this means that you will be constantly involved in the creation of the game and that it won't just be a one-time thing - we are currently planning with a development time of up to one year (maybe, but hopefully not, more).

Ooh, before I forget, some more shameless self advertising: "Rock Paper Shotgun" once mentioned us, woohoo! RPS Link

We would be very happy if anyone is interested in working with us at this project,
Cheers
