I was recently requested to do a more complicated animation than just blinking.
I studied some basic animation principles, but in general I had trouble picturing the animation in a sprite. I checked some sprites and I was so surprised about how few frames you can use to make a move, like walking! But when I tried making a doll moving a staff.... well...
Please help. Note: The pixeling isnt done yet, since I was making animation tests (this was the best one ._.) So there's a white screen because of the program I use, and yeah... Edited by p47y - 31 January 2013 at 6:51pm |

I'd suggest making the staff shorter/thicker when it's diagonal. Right now it looks like it's getting stretched out when she puts her hand down.
Overall the sprite is very cute, though! |

I did, and I omitted the crouching, which looks better?
