I need tips for drawing and animating metal armor (non-isometric). My light source is directly onto my character. When I try to focus my palettes brightest colours straight onto the middle most point (Also the closest to the light) it looks dull and boring.
I ended up using a giant purple jewel, because it looked so plain and more like a cloth rather then a metal armor, which sucks but if you can give me any advice I'd love it. As for cloth, I'm making a low saturation cloth as a cape. This also is to be animated and is non-isometric. What sort of creases do I use, and how do I animate it?
