Pixel Joint Forum: Please help me again with this

   Hi everyone, I need some input and ideas for my latest piece I am working on. I am really impressed and proud of this one and I would like to give it more of a 'complete' feeling.

My main focus of this piece was the anatomy, I feel I pulled it off well enough. I am really struggling with creating a back ground. I have tried a few times and they all failed pretty badly. Maybe the background is too small and I should enlarge the canvas, I am not sure, but I would prefer not to. I will keep that as a last resort though. I have no idea what to do with the background, and I would love some ideas or input!

The character is either Tarzan-like, or a Zulu. I haven't decided yet. This is also why it doesn't have hair yet, it will either be dread locks, or shaved off as is I also want to do everything in phases. (1st the outlines, then the correct colors, then the shading) Thank you!

	You don't have to have a background. It isn't necessary. The most striking thing about this is that there's no shading. You're gonna want some of that. For the musculature, nobody's muscles are that defined. They blend with the skin, you don't want a line to define your muscles in a piece. It's good to start with a line, but don't leave it like that. The pose is a little weird... I think his leg off the rock should be straighter. His torso is standing proud and confident, but his legs are squatting like he's in a fighting position and there's a rock under a foot. I also have never seen anyone rest their hand on their leg. 	I already said I was happy with the anatomy, I also said that I was going to do the colors and shading last. I have trouble drawing a background because I have no practice, I never 'need to' make a background, so I never do.
