Hey guys!
Some weeks ago I started a new game project with a friend of mine. I began to make the graphics, but I think I could do better with some hints on what to improve.

I started with the first map, the player character's room:

It's the first time I had to worry so much about perspective so I'm not sure about the result...

I also tried to make a player sprite with walking animations:

So, what do you think about these?

Thought the perspective of the room looked wonky, so I drew the lines to make sure.

The left edge of the table doesn't go to the vanishing point.
The right edge of the hanging shelves miss that point as well.
The right side of the telephone cabinet is waaaaaaaay off.
Same for the window sill.
The top of the window is slightly off
The laundry basket's left side is way off
Carpets' sides are way off
Same with the bed.

The nightstand table thing is correct

I once wrote a tutorial on perspective. For me, it's as simple as can be, but I keep coming across people who seem to struggle to grasp it. The tutorial I wrote, seems to help them.

There's one error in it, though. The vanishing point should always be on the horizon. My article places it above the horizon, which isn't correct.

So I have to improve about everything :D
And I thought I was done with that room xD
Thank you for pointing out what I did wrong, I will definitely check out this tutorial. But first I'm heading to the library to look for some books about perspective ;P

You can have objects pointing at different vanishing points as long as the sides are consistent with whatever vp you choose. Every objects basically doesn't have to face the same way.
