Hello, I would like to start off by saying I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to terms, and don't know what c&c means lol.
This is a boss for a game I'm working on;
And it sucks. It's flat, lacks detail, and doesn't really portray a ninja look, no matter what I do. Any help would be much obliged, thanks.

C&C = Comments & Criticism.

The back feathers looks like a cape, Use references to have a good shape there and use different colors to create a pattern. All red is boring.

Wings aren't hidden, make sure we see them. Again, use references to know how to put them from that perspective.

Finally the feets seems like they have thumbs. This looks weird.

I suck at this -.- Anyways,I worked on the tail and the feet... I can't figure out the wings though. Could somebody possibly do an edit on how they think it should be so I have a visual reference? I don't know why, but this is proving harder than any other sprites I've done.
