Hello, I have been looking all over the internet for a good spell/magic pixel tutorial. I have yet to find one that would help with what I needed.

My problem is I don't want the player to just be able to summon up water when he's no-where near water(Later level with allow small degree of summoning water from the ground). I need the water to flow from a source of water to the player, I can't make the water look fluid like water should. I also can't for the life of me figure out how to make a good looking lightning bolt.

Any help would be appreciated, if there are tutorials you know of please link me and if not maybe someone would be so kind as to give me a few pointers.
