I'm trying to find if there's a special name for this particular style of pixel art? Is it from an actual 8 bit game or is it just a retro style that's been created recently? Are there any tutorials about learning this style? Templates? etc. Any information or help would be great.

There's no name for the style itself, but Superbrothers is the studio who started the trend afaik (Sword & Sworcery). It's not actually 8bit, just retro.
