Oh cool you linked to TV Tropes :3
I'm thinking of doing the two famous ogres posing for a picture after getting married, as my though of what happened after "happily ever after" with humor/funny/whatever added to it. Is this fitting for the challenge, or should I think of something else? Wanna ask just to be sure. |

Hey guys, I had the idea that Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street finally got married and drove off in their little smart car thing all happy, here's the first WIP, just the basic lines and some basic colors.

@Vrine : Thanks!
@technos : I like what you have there! I took the color count down from 17 to 11 so now I have some extra colors for highlights and now I'm starting to refine lines and add little details: ![]() Edited by dogmeat - 14 February 2014 at 6:35am |

Whatever floats his boat :P
@technos My only crit is that the pigs are a bit pillowshaded. The concept is looking good though. |

I didn't get any responses... so I figured, "What the heck, I'll do it." So basically, I'm gonna do a wedding photo of Shrek and Fiona that was (supposedly) taken after the wedding.
This is what I have so far:
I've still got plenty to get done within just these 2 days, and I'm pretty sure I need to work on shading and stuff, not to mention I have to put Shrek in there too which means more hard work. Sorry if it looks pillow-shaded or something. I'm currently using this wallpaper/picture of Fiona as a reference. |

@Eggy
Lovely start! I feel the face is a bit pillowshaded in some areas though, unless the light source is meant to be a camera flash? I came up with an idea last minute, so here's my WIP! Mario proposing to Peach after saving her. ![]() Still have a fair bit to get through! EDIT - Just an update. ![]() Edited by vrine - 15 February 2014 at 4:40pm |

Thanks :3 Well, I was kinda aiming for depth while using that picture as a reference, so yeah, I don't really have a defined light source.
Progress:
In my own opinion, the hair doesn't look very good. I'm not a hair pro, so I did it the way I thought would work. I'm saving the picture frame for last; it's least work, so it's going to be easier once I'm done with both Shrek and Fiona. Also, I don't think I will be able to add Fiona's tiara in there, meaning I'll have to leave it as is. |
