Hello, I'm a solo developer and I'm interested in hiring someone for my current project. I've worked with non-pixel artists before but this is the first time I'll be working with pixel art for the mobile field so any tips would be appreciated. From my understanding, the art is simply made in the 1x scale size (32x32 for example) and I'd have to upscale it (by 4x) for use on tablets if needed.

The project does not have a deadline (it's a hobby) although the faster it gets done the better.

The type of art I want is similar to rpg/jrpg games - colour, the border outline etc. Humorous/comical/cute images would be the ideal look.
Some assets I will need:
-A background of a field (576x384) with grass, trees, mountain, sky, rocks, etc.
-Game title, icons, buttons, backdrop, GUI stuff.
-An axeman (64x64 likely, I plan to have different avatars/outfits for this same asset). He will be attacking so this will probably be 4 frames.
-Enemies such as rabbits, foxes, wolves, bears, turtles, slimes, mushrooms, things that would be in the forest. These will be walking/running so probably 4 frames.

The game itself is small in my opinion, there is an intro screen, an upgrade screen, and the game screen.

I prefer an artist with mobile game experience, this would make the process smoother for the both of us.
