Hi,

I'm making a strategy-rpg game. I require some sprites for in-game units.

Battle units 32-40 pixels wide and aprox 64 pixels tall.
There's 15 playable characters.
Approximately 10-15 generic troops. Those encountered in most battles and could be hired by player.
Approximately 10 non-generic troops such as enemy commanders.
Approximately 10-15 monsters
That's only a low estimate, could be more depending on how it goes.

Character sheet example (scaled to fit ingame)
To make it more clear: that's 12 sprites total (3x3 frame animations + 3x1 frame animations)

Unique playable character have to be designed based on character illustrations. About 5 of them need both attack type animations depending on their equipment/skills.

Generic troops generally require only one attack animation. Design features are up to the artist. Generic troops reqire pallette variation depending whether its a player unit or an enemy unit. I'd like to see not only team color swap, but also changed hair color, skin tone and such. There is a third pallette variation which is enemy unit in a special state.

Non-generic troops may or may not require pallete swaps. Non-generic troops may be other than human race.

Monsters don't require some animations such as magic, low health and block animations. I'd like to stretch designs as much as possible to create some variety - color swaps, minor alterations and such. Monster examples: a bear, a wolfman, a slime, a skeleton, a zombie etc

The images above are just examples I found on the internet. Details don't have to be exact. I welcome if you use templates and try to simplify the process whenever you can to save the cost.

This is the first time I'm trying to hire an artist I don't really know how much it costs. I get that the whole thing will cost a few thousand dollars, but I want to see whether it will fit in my budget. If you feel like you are up for the job feel free to send me e-mail at metaphis@yandex.ru and say how much you charge for each sprite or the whole sheet. I don't set any deadlines and I'm not that picky when it comes to graphic design. I would prefer some commitment and consistency though.
