   I think - in simplicity is perfection. I really like your pixels.
 But if you want to somehow develop their idea, you can try to enlarge the image without loss of quality and add small details. Here is an example of what I mean :) .... oh, I said without thinking   Anyway, I can `t advise something to improve it more, but.. to draw something new?
