Dire Nerd Studios is a brand new independent game studio based out of Seattle, Washington. We are a small agile team with a collective goal of creating great indie games and perpetuating nerd culture.

The Dire Nerd Studios team is looking for an artist to help us find the artistic direction for our "The Tavern at the End of the World" project, a fantasy 2-D action side-scroller, which is projected to launch in late 2015 or early 2016. We have been contemplating pixel art but we are open to artistic input. All of the basic game mechanics are in place and it's time to stretch some skin over this skeleton! This will be a contracted position. Contract details will be negotiated after candidates have been selected.

We are looking for someone who is confident with his/her technical skills, creative and flexible. The position will require a person who can work well with the rest of the team but is able to self-direct when the team isn't available. This job is available for candidates in the Seattle area as well as those interested in working remotely. All applicants must be 18 or older.
