   Since im new to pixel art/color, im going to be sticking to the gameboy palette for a while. How do i improve this image with the current colors?

	What are you doing to post an image? What imagehost? It should all work if you hit the tree icon and paste the direct url in the popup.

	Looks pretty good to me, but feels like that darkest dark is being used differently than the rest of the colors, as a line instead of a value range. so that feels a bit odd.

	Since you're working most of the image in light and shadow, I think you might have an easier time improving it if you tried to make it work without outlines. Other than that, I don't have a lot to praise or critique given I'm not quite sure what you're going for. As a study, you might learn more if you did a figure head to toe, as you'd have to work your pose to make it balanced, and also learn to draw the whole figure. For critique, it'd help if you posted the reference if you want critique on how well you're emulating it. You've worked up the forms in the torso pretty well, so I'd probably say the weak point right now is the head and face. Not that it's no good, but as humans we focus on faces as they're important to us. Right now the torso has more detail than the face.
