three of my pieces were marked as revision required. I have read all the requirements and passed them all. This is my first post in the forum. These are my own artwork, one color background is needed in those that have it, I'm not using filters, nor gradients, etc, just pure hand drawing (sometimes it seems like I was using filters, but it's not, it's my style of drawing to imitate pixel blending, I can prove it with time lapses in my web site here just click on "Ver la galeria de dibujos", it's because I am an ol'school bitmapper (or trying to be like one

I can't see the pieces since PJ doesn't show revision-required pieces, but looking at the thumbnails and your pieces on the queue:
- Some of your thumbnails are NPA because they're shrunk down from the full piece. Thumbnails are subject to the same rules as the full pieces. - Your pixelling is messy in various ways, usually it's noisy. If people are voting "No" on your artwork because they don't think it's good pixel art, your work can be rejected even if it's technically following the rules. Even if you say your work is finished, if it looks unfinished/unpolished, then people will get a bad impression of it and might not want it in the gallery, which is meant for pieces that look finished. By the way, I don't recommend submitting pre-zoomed pieces (e.g. your "Prehistoric Eye"). It's best to submit the 1x piece and let people zoom in as they like. It also means you don't need to submit a thumbnail for those pieces if they're small enough. Sometimes people will even vote "no" for pre-zooming. |

Missed above post when commenting. It says it all clearly.
---- All gallery art can be zoomed in and out using the -+ under the art. It was not me that sent those 3 back but would have as well as all the other pending ones because while we understand pre-zooming some pixels in all these pixels they serve no purpose and don't help the art at all. PJers want to see the art at 1X (100%) and then zoom in to really see what's going on. You may upload 1X using the pencil icon under the art and then hit the submit button again. Ok, thanks.
So basically I understand; - Post the whole image and not pre-zoomed images. - Don't use shrinked images in the thumbnails. - Don't change the size of the original 1x1 pixels. (I think some of my pieces have to be seen in bigscreen+lowres) but I will follow the rules. - Low quality drawing. (Oh my that one hurted, but I think I can polish it, I think I can do some better work in the future...) It's my first portfolio attemp so I hadn't benchmarked myself before, I just thought well... will upload and that's all. Well, so I will put more time and effort on it. If you say it because maybe I sounded cocky in the post, was not my intention, sorry I just want a medium to develop my abilities and know the business. By the way that noise was a failed dithering attemp ![]() PD.:Dindn't know there was a voting process to approve a piece. I consider black backgrounds as a part of the piece because of the contrast that gives more "volume" to the 3D "shading". The ones I have uploaded are not meant to be game assets so they are not cropped images but a matter of artistic composition freedom, that's the reason some of them appear like close-ups. But since these are the rules here I will be subject to the rules. ![]() Edited by Pintor - 19 August 2015 at 7:44pm |

Well I've made the (technical) changes. And I accept my pieces "Man's Head" and "knight/Improvisation" are not at the level of the gallery... but the piece "Bunny"? It's not perfect technique but I've seen similar art approved in the gallery (though I don't want to insist because I don't want to understimate my own pieces bfore my own eyes by making that). Sure, your level in the galley is top notch but seriously I've seen similar art to "Bunny" approved in the gallery. Anyway I won't insist anymore, I just came here to search for a job after all. Anyway thank you for responding to my first comments.
