   Oh sorry I was responding more to Hapiel about throwing myself at the mercy of the streets. As a young smallish girl, that's incredibly far beyond my comfort zone.  

And by travel around the US I mean take short trips to cool places that fall within my allowed vacation time - I've built a life in NYC that I don't plan on leaving any time soon, definitely not for the prospect of working in some random place I have no connection to. It's not easy in my industry to do that.  

And not backpacking either. I'm an architecture snob now, so a great place to stay is just as important as the destination I came for.  I don't know... I'm old enough now that I don't want to rough it anymore. I'd rather save up a for a bit and then rent myself a lovely cottage on a lake or something and just enjoy the heck out of it while exploring stuff nearby.  Staying at hostels and always worrying about my stuff or whether I'll have access to amenities is just adding extra stress. Now that my time off is so limited, I don't want to waste it on being uncomfortable and inconvenienced.

I think I spoiled myself a bit :p

	I've actually been meaning to do the whole travel without a plan thing. I just need to get over all my psychological issues first so that I don't accidentally end up in some mental asylum down in the south somewhere where their solution for everything is electroshock therapy and jesus.

	Not sure what, but it feels like something is gone. Perhaps it's just the distribution of posts across pages that makes this one feel short or something. But I thought it was closer to 400 pages and/or 20k posts.

	I think I'm going to make a skin for the site/forums. It's always bothered me how wide the forum are; very long lines make for bad legibility. There's a good reason why newspapers work with columns. This is also why you might have noticed me posting with manual linebreaks sometimes. Anyway, with my own site's redesign slowly wrapping up want to give this site a whirl, too.

	That's not gonna happen though. I can only fiddle with how things look, and even then I'm still bound by the markup. So things like the activities and featured posts I can't implement here. Well, maybe someday, if PJ decides to really overhaul the forum and/or site.
