Pixel Joint Forum: why is it taking so long?

   Didn't know where to post this message, sorry. Just wanted to know why it's taking so long to approval few of my art work? I mean it been about 1-2 weeks and it's still pending for a approval. is there some kind of glitch or error?

	Its all manually added and inspected and sometimes things get a bit slow. Your pixel is now added even tho I am undergoing a hurricane right now and my batteries are getting low... ...if I die its your fault :p

	The problem is it's not just the new artworks that are taking a long time to be approved. I joined PixelJoint a few days ago and I thought my works were not being accepted because they're not good enough yet (I'm still a newbie when it comes to pixel art) but then I noticed all the links/news/quotes I submitted haven't been approved either. Is it because there are few people working on that? Does PixelJoint need volunteers? Or is it because you just get too many submissions? Also, have you ever considered having DeviantArt's submission system instead? Let everyone submit whatever they want (regarding the artworks at least) and just have people moderate to see if anything submitted needs to be taken down?

	I feel like the deviantArt system is very flawed in many ways and drowns out a lot of good art with a ton of 5 minute sketches and terrible photoshops. I don't like sounding elitist but I feel like PixelJoint has standards and I really enjoy that about it. I don't like the idea of everything making it into the gallery because then you get something like pixilart.net's gallery which is a total mess. Even if you have it so it can be removed from the gallery eventually people will find out that you can post anything to the gallery to begin with and will flood it to the point where it gets hard and tedious to remove stuff from the gallery. I like the system we have now even if it might be slow at times it maintains standards which I feel is more important.
