Hi everyone,

My name's Mike Tucker and I'm part of Bitmap Bureau Ltd, a UK-based game dev studio. We're looking to collaborate with a talented pixel artist on future projects, with one project starting imminently. Ideally we're looking for a pixel artist with strong animation skills that can also take on producing the various hud elements, menus and splash screens. We generally target PC, PS4 and XBox One, but we are also looking to target a certain 16 bit platform too. This is a paid commission, with the fee being negotiated with the potential candidate.

Bitmap Bureau itself was founded at the start of this year, but between the three company directors we have over 50 years of games industry experience, and have developed in excess of 100 titles across many platforms and genres. Publishers we've worked with in the past include Adult Swim Games, Rising Star Games, Disney, MTV etc, and our most acclaimed title is probably Super House Of Dead Ninjas (http://store.steampowered.com/app/224820).

We're currently working on a 2D platformer by the name of "88 Heroes" (http://88heroes.com) which is due to be released early next year on all of the major platforms, and we have a strong pedigree in developing 2D pixel art games dating back to some of the earliest mobile phone games when the three of us were part of "IOMO" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IOMO).

The project we have in mind is currently in the prototype phase and we're looking to have an artist come on board in the next week or so, and we estimate that the art will take around 4 weeks. The game is loosely based on an old Flash game we made for Adult Swim Games:

...but we're looking for a more 16-bit aesthetic along the lines of Elevator Action Returns:

If you're at all interested in working with us then please get in touch with examples at: contact@bitmapbureau.com.

Cheers!

Mike.
