I'm a comp sci major turned filmmaker, now back in game development working on my first big game in my free time.

The game I'm working on is top-down, similar in camera angle to Stardew Valley or old Zelda games.

I've made some artwork for the game a long time ago, but I think I'm going to need help and would like to hire a pixel artist to help me create some preliminary graphics for a prototype of the game. I'm a designer myself, so I really want to find someone who can create some very high quality artwork.

In terms of pay, I'm not really sure what pixel artists charge. But for now, I'm only focusing on a prototype, so I would like hire someone for a small amount of artwork. Then, later on, I would potentially hire you for more. So I guess, let me know your rates. I guess I'm expecting to pay somewhere around $2-300 for the current work I'm requesting for the prototype?

The prototype will feature a single character, his bedroom, and maybe a slightly more detailed portrait of the character.
