**thread updated as I go, newer images towards the bottom of the page**

This is an ongoing project to help kids with safety in London. The website is for teachers to instruct in classrooms.

(BTW I'm not quite sure how to use this forum, it appears to be for works 100 pixel or smaller, but nothing finished or nothing big. I used to enjoy pixelation, where that's gone, I don't know.)

nah, you can post all sizes here... The reason everything is  unfinished is because this is the WIP forum - work in progress. We just post stuff for c/c and feedback and then when it's done, we submit it to the gallery.

I love how lively this is, so much going on there, but it'd look better with some variations in the cars, at least make them different colors.  And are those flowers supposed to be that big? They just look a little funky..

Some of the building windows are really dull. Perhaps some silhouettes to show what's behind them, or some highlights across them or something other than flat color.

As for the 100x100 pixel thing, that's just for the thumbnail image that'd be displayed on the main page and such. Your detail file can be whatever size you want though.

what, there's only gonna be one type of car?

Besides that, it looks quite nice.

Hiya guys, thanks for the comments.

About the car thing, I'm not sure I can put in any other modes of transport. Other than public transport, so I could fill the streets with taxis and buses ;)

Hey leel, you're right about the windows, I'll put some more detail in.

On the link above, you can roll over the different transport modes. Currently I am working on the screens for when you click;

I like it so far.
Especially the bus one. :]

The art looks good but to me it's weird when you go over something and the yellow line goes through the buildings that the object is behind.
It just looks strange...

Maybe you could put in some single-decker buses? The road markings look great, nice job.

the bendy busses idea is good, I may add some. I'm gonna have a chat with the client about cars, however we didn't want to clutter with cars and people because of the menu overlays.

Well, is it absolutely necessary for them to be looking straight at you? Like if they have talk bubbles or something, then it would have to be like that.

I love the detail. the water is my favorite part by far! the only thing that looks a little awkward to me is the head of the train. it almost looks like its going down a slope. maybe its meant to be that way though, or maybe its just the angle, I dont know.

Hi thanks for the comments. The people standing in those scenes are only for scale, the finished project will have people walking about and so on. kinda like these guys:

wasn't really sure how to handle the outer shell of the train, was going for a "final fight" style but the was too much floor...

ah yes, fixed that now.

Thankfully, adobe have left "stroke path" in photoshop, which makes curvy new taxis a whole lot easier to build. I think if I went down the boxy "eboy" route, it would have been taking too many liberties with the IP of what taxis are actually meant to look like... although it would have been a darn sight quicker to make!

Most of them are JPEGs.
Starting from the first work on the people, to the spinning guy.

The rest are PNG.

ah bit of an update. Thanks for all the comments, really keeps me going!

first off, pelican crossing, not sure if this will be clear enough - should be!

Bus (rolls in). Too tricky to do in Iso because not enough of it would be seen, I guess, considering the area in which I have to draw in (this is doubled up in the final thing, thats why they are at x2)

this interior shot needs spicing up, guess I'll just have a bunch of people sitting around.

And finally, the little chap walking east. His movements are slightly exaggerated because otherwise he'd look like hes sliding about. Damn I wish I had Deluxe paint!! Although drawing then swapping to image ready and back again seems to work out ok.

Nice  I love the front-view walking animation...
The side-view one is bothering me a little though. His arm seems a bit jumpy.
