Hope everyone is in good health!

Studio Pixellore is looking for an experienced Pixel Artist to create sequel to the game Subterrain. Pixellore has been around since 2014, produced 2 titles. We are serious and dedicated studio that cares about players and quality.

Job Description: Create, characters with minimal character animations. Tilesets, Props, UI, Icons. Generally, all 2D arts for the game in pixel style. The nature of the game requires artists to be able to not only create character designs, but emphasis is given to the environment work as well. Artist should be able to R&D and willing to direct the art style of the game. Therefore, preference is given to more dedicated artist who can work as a team to produce the finest game in a long-term commitment.

Art Style: Sci-Fi RPG world in semi - top down view. The style of the art is subject to change to fit the best ability of an artist. The pixel is zoomed at x2 scale around grid size of 32x32. Lesser detail will be considered depends on the quality and style of the work.

Project duration: At least one year. Subject to change, depends on the progress of the project. Artist must be able to take on commission in batch to avoid unnecessary frequent international payments. We also understand the nature of outsourcing, so we do not expect artist to be tied to the project 100% of the time, but artist must be willing to communicate and adjust schedule planning so that one can still work through the project.

Payment Terms: Commission based, but working full / part time locally, or remotely can also be considered. The rates for commission based are negotiable depends on the overall quality of the work and the contributions to the project. For full time or part time employment, daily rates will be negotiated for the similar basis as commission. Commissions are paid 50% upfront and 50% on completion. All completion payments will be sent at the end of month.

Feedback: Artist should expect some minimal feedback to update on the produced work. Constant and frequent sharing of work in progress through active communication is required.

Interested Artist should proceed as follows.

    First, contact me with simple message or email for requesting detail about the project. You don't have to send any links or portfolio this time. Just a simple request will do. After I have sent you the documents, please take a look and see if you are still interested. We have just started looking for an artist externally so the documentation is in very early form, but it should help to see what the project is all about. Also, the detail of the game is not yet announced, so the document only contains bare bone information about the game. Should you require further information before making decision to officially apply, feel free to request them.

    After going through the document and you are still interested you can contact me again by email with the following information.

    Brief description on who you are and how you think you can contribute to the project. You are more than welcome to send some of your past work examples that you think it can fit the game's style or feel free to create some quick examples to show your skill, if you ever feel inspired. You can also suggest and send links or images of the work you have not done but feel that you are confident to produce the same or similar quality and style. We would like to see your ideas, your willingness and if you are excited to work on the project. We will not consider any candidates who has not understood the project and just want some quick job.

    General Portfolio of your work (links, images, animations) Please do not attach individual images. Use Zip file to attach single file containing all your portfolio work. Please include information such as indication on duration of the work, color palette choices, sizes etc.

    Rates. Commission rate per asset type, hourly, or daily. The rates must include enough information to clearly be able to work out the cost of the asset examples.
