black n white preferably. whenever shading i try to use either thicker lines or dithering. I try to avoid using colors because i am not too confident in myself to use them properly

Good luck then. Pure black and white is difficult. But I do suggest studying some classic posters, where they had to be creative with two colors, due to the limited technology of the time.
