About me

I'm Axil0tl, a 20 year old guy who enjoys spending his free days scripting, configuring and designing his own games and projects. Though, whenever my fantasy takes over a bit too much and my ideas aren't realistically achievable individually, I usually work on these with a team.



The project

Recently we've been working on a project we call "Project Kingdoms: Revised". It is a Minecraft modpack project inspired by the 'The Witcher' game franchise and series, but also an old nostalgic Dutch Minecraft series on YouTube.

However, like mentioned before, I cannot do this alone. I know my fair share of pixel art, even though I'm not entirely the most skilled at it and prefer working on scripts, configs and designing anyways. I've already set up a development group, currently consisting of: a map builder/terraformer, a dungeon designer, a writer and a concept artist. Although, we're still in dire need of pixel artist(s) we can work with. Therefore, if you're interested, leave a reply so I can contact you and send you further details & the developer roadmap. If necessary, a price could also be discussed, but the general goal is to eventually reach more people, hopefully popularizing the project. If we at some point actually reach enough people, we might add some kind of donation system and all earnings will then go to the project and it's contributors, therefore the [revshare] mark.



The project's current features & plans

There are lots of features planned. But here are some important ones to give you a quick idea of what to expect:

A bunch of matching mods will be added and heavily tweaked according to the style. This requires a bunch of retextures and new textures for the custom items. Preferably, we'd be using 32x32 textures, but we're not entirely sure about that yet.

There will be various different nations on a huge custom made world*1 and the plan is to "redo" some of Minecraft's original features, as well as adding new ones*2. While also attempting to keep the original survival feel/vibe that Minecraft already gives.

Besides that, we are also planning on writing lore and executing it in game, so that we can eventually upload episodes on YouTube. Though, we want to keep this serious and carefully written. And it is also partially determined by results of in-game events such as war.



Extra details

*1: Said nations are able to conquer territory from pre configured "sectors". conquering "sectors" is planned to work primarily by capturing 3 points, while using armies of carefully custom scripted and designed soldiers that can be commanded during battle.

*2: Ex. adding items, changing items and their recipes, adding weekly dungeons, adding POI's to explore for necessary materials, etc.
