Environment Artist

I am working with the very talented Dokitsu as our current environment artist.

He's very adept at working with the DB32 palette. He's done an awesome job designing interiors:



Our current exterior textures (grass, dirt, etc.) however are in truecolor based on Seliel's free tiles:



I've been really meaning to move away from these tiles and define a more unique style based in realism.

Like the examples below:



I'd also look at Stoneshard or Beloved Rapture for other stylistic inspirations.


He's begun to leave his comfort zone and venture into doing truecolor tiles for environment, while using colors that will play will with the DB32 props:



I'm looking for a skilled pixel artist to help us define a really strong exterior set of tiles. You'd also be responsible for level design mockups.

The tile resolution is 16x16.

Alternatively, I'd welcome an experienced pixel artist who may be too busy to do the work, but can spare time to work with us as an art director to help make Dokitsu's life easier.


The pay for this role is $25-40+ USD per hour for 20-30 hours a week.
