Hi guys,

I'm going to present an isometric graphical engine for mobile games at the Java Conference 2006 in Rome 26th of june.
This is the web site of the event: http://it.sun.com/eventi/jc06/index.html

I'll speak of isometric games and their implementation (I developed a java library to make them easy) and I'll also focus on the isometric pixel art!

I think this is a good show case for some of you so I'll be happy to show your isometric art giving credits during the speech.

There are two good news:
- I'll not present a particular gameplay and the speech will only introduce a basic isometric enviroment so I don't care of the "setting". This mean: you'll be totally free about art direction
- my company will probably sponsor an isometric game development contest. This means that if you know some java developer you can easly turn your isometric tiles and sprites into a game to present at this contest. I think can be a good advantage to have worked for this speech...

I cannot for the moment offer a payment but If something cool will come out of this important (for me) event I'll be happy to "donate" something to the pixel artsits that have supported me.

Let me know asap (I need the artist in a couple of days from now or I'll fallback to an isometric tileset I already have... but I would something fresh ;)).

Information about me and my other projects can be found here:

Nice to see another Java game programmer show the strength and potential of Java!   I've always thought of making an Isometric engine for my future game projects.  I hope that you obtain good pixel artists to showcase your wonderful engine.

You can see a demo of a Free Software game I made for MTV:

and on the home page you'll find full sourcecode: Mondonerd.com
