Psyguy Games' Lode Runner X

I recently completed work on a great remake of Lode Runner called Lode Runner X.  It is a lot of fun to play, but it isn't quite as fun to look at.  The graphics I created are just barely adequate; I'm looking for somebody to help me turn this into a game that looks just as good as it plays.

Talent / Position Requirements

I'm looking for a talented pixel artist to remake the tiles, animations, and sprites in the game.  I'd like to keep a similar theme in each of the graphics, but if you have an idea on how to radically alter a theme to improve it, I'll certainly listen.

  • Tiles - LRX uses 16 by 16 pixel tiles.  Right now, I use about 36 tiles in the game.  That number includes a handful of color-swapped tiles; in reality, there are only about 20 tiles to redo.  If you had interest in expanding the tileset, I would be more than happy to oblige.  :)

  • Animations - I have about 7 animations; most of them have around 3 or 4 frames, and each frame is typically 16 by 16.  Animations include water, lava, a spinning blade, and fire.

  • Sprites - Essentially, I only have one main sprite; the player.  I did color changes for the enemy and alternate player colors, but ultimately it's the same sprite with different colors.  Each sprite uses 16x16 pixel frames. I would love to have cool-looking monk dudes to chase the player around, and I might be interested in adding a couple of new animations (for instance, a death animation).

Screenshots

Here are a number of screenshots to demonstrate the look of the game right now.

Contact Information

Feel free to either send me a PM or to leave a reply to this thread if you have interest in this project.

You can also visit the official LRX website for more screenshots and additional information related directly to the game.  You can also download the game there to try it out for yourself if you'd like.

Conclusion

Thanks for your time and consideration!

I'm interested. How many downloads has it got so far/how many hits does your website get? and would i get credited with a website link for the graphics?

Right now it has probably had around 30 downloads; I haven't posted it in a lot of places yet.  My website as such is fairly low-traffic, probably 200-300 visitors a month.

For credit, you would certainly receive website link and credit.  Right now I'd imagine something like having a credit and link in the game and on the website.  I could also add a small clickable ad to your website / portfolio on the right column of my website.

I'm going to send you a PM with a couple notes...
