Hello everybody,

sorry if this is the wrong section or even the wrong place at all, but since I'm new to pixeljoint, I hope you'll forgive me .

I have a few questions, I hope I didn't overlook the answers possibly already given somewhere else:

  • Can I tell, how many points one single picture got? How? I only seem to be able to see the sum of all points an artist has already gained.
(I also wonder, what's the point in rating the pics, since it can be done for an unlimited time. That way, a high number of points doesnt neccessarily tell one pic better from the other, but possibly having been uploaded longer ago and therefore having gained more points in a longer time)
  • What's the "policy" on changed/updated/extended work? Do you replace/update your old submission, or post it as a new one? I guess, this one's hard to tell, since it a) depends and b) you generally don't like WIP being uploaded anyway (but that's not exactly what I've meant actually)
For possible further questions, it would be nice of you to tell me the right place to ask them (if this place should be wrong )

Thanks.

Nah, you've got the right place Imagician.

- The points accumilated by each piece can't be found right now. And i don't believe the rating system is linked to the amount of points a user has.
- If it's an update of a work that has been critisised and you wish to upload it, i suggest you edit the earlier submission and put a note in your description telling people of the update.

Hope that helped, i didn't go into much detail though.

Pardon?! Where do the points a user has come from, if not from the rating of his submissions? Please explain.

yeah people have asked sedge to post an average rating box - so we're
waiting on that. I dont think time the number of 5 stars would matter,
but wat percentage of the ratings were 5 stars. Not many recent pieces
make it into the top 100 - i guess only the true masterpieces that were
submitted here ages ago will reside there.
Snark, we love yuu.

sorry for double post - user points come from the number of pieces you
rate, comment on, news you submit, and mainly how many pixelart
pieces you submit.

This link explains ALL:

Ah, I see. The way a community should do it . Thanks. Indeed I didn't notice that link in the FAQ.

This is probably the only sensible "newbie" topic ever created.
