Well when I have the template(Aparment) as a GIF i try to put new colours in and it wont. Soo I save as a PNG and it still wont :( help me :(

if you using photoshop u can switch to RGB from indexed mode, else maybe you can save it to graphic format that can contain 16-24 bit color (bmp)
If you want it done rite, U gotta do it yourself!

Or open the file and save as a new file and draw on that. The Joint template file has an alpha channel that causes some problems for some.
