Is it supposed to look realistic? Because it doesn't look like a tower, but more like a bunch of blocks stacked on top of eachother. How about giving it some cohesiveness?

I'd just like to take this opportunity to remind people that there should NEVER be a horizon in isometric drawings.

@Sythus: yeah, curves are hard to do >< and the ones ive made prolly isnt the best but ohwell.. ill have to look up some tutorials later.
@Aleiav: no, its not really supposed to look realistic. and excuse my bad english but whats cohesiveness? >_>
@Lawrence: well, i dont want a one colored background and it would probably look more empty then now since im not gonna add any background objects.

I really like the colours on this, very warm and calming. I think if you're just adding a background, it may be a nice idea to add a dithered gradient (im obsessed with dithering atm) rather than that simple two shades cut with a line.

I think it'd be interesting to make this some sort of arty sculpture thing. You could break up the blockyness with something weird and wacky like a hand coming out of one of the pieces, or having an interesting engraved pattern.

Neway, keep it up.

NEVER EVER

EDIT: Unless you are making an iso scene where a ship in the 1600's goes to the edge of the world.

btw, I like your tower. The curves will make themselves apparent as it grows. Focus on proportion and weight first. Awesome colors.

The bolt-shaped thing has a gradient shading on the edge facing us. Shouldn't it be a flat dithered shade between those of the two adjacent sides?

RPG is numberwang.

Nice dithering on the background.

Cohesiveness means... make it look like it goes together. Like it's one form not several stacked on top of eachother.
