K ive been studyng anatomy alot and shading and I made this:
![]() Hope you like it, I messed up alotthe on the left arm anatomy but no biggy. It looks like I used alot of colors but I only used about 4-5, just mixed.

The arms lack structure. The rest of the body doesn't really show that you've been studying anatomy very much at all, like you claim. That 2x pixel thick outline of the right arm is a bit worrying. In fact, I think you've mixed up your AA on most of the outlines.
The 4-5 colours that you claim also comes out to 31 colours, on my count. The shading is worse on the belt like thing, where it justs seems randomly plotted. The rest of the shading could use some work, but isn't completely hopeless.
The face, in my opinion, looks poorly designed and doesn't suit the body much at all. Like Skull, I also don't get the octa reference. My suggestions?
-Actually study human anatomy in order to successfully portray humanoid characters convincingly. -Find and practice AA and sel-out techniques. There should be plenty of tutorials on the main PJ site if you look. -Pick a light source and shade accordingly. Again, you should be able to find plenty of tuts regarding shading. -Be careful when selecting palettes. Don't go over board picking new similar colours. Try the eyedrop, tis very handy.
I don't mean to sound harsh, I just wasn't in the mood for sugar coating. Hope my comments were helpful.

Move it a couple of pixels to the left and increase the right hand chest muscle to overlap it. If you want to design characters like this it is worth doing your rough sketch in a similar pose to what you have and then, for a more polished piece, have your character strike a dynamic pose. Hope that's of some help. ![]() |
