Hello all, I am looking for an artist to make a few sprites for me, and then if the artist would like, to continue making sprites for the same game.

The game in question is "Eve of Decension". This is the third and final game in a trilogy. The other two games were already completed using RPGMaker sprites.

This is not an RPGMaker game though, even though the previous games used RPGMaker sprites, because it was all I have access to. Primarily, I am a programmer, I do have Photoshop talent for backgrounds and logos, but not for drawing characters. This game is being made with Game Maker. The good thing about Game Maker is you have virtually no limits, but programming is a bit harder than RPG Maker. I don't use RPG Maker because I don't like it.

The game I am making now is a sequel to that game.

Story:
The "Eve Trilogy" is a fictional story about the true story of how humankind came to earth. It is a prequel to the book of Genesis in the Bible, and even though it has religious concepts, it is not a religous game. Instead, it uses Scifi elements (cloning, etc) to explain the creation of human life.

The game stars "Eve" (hence the name of the series) whom must come to terms with her bilogical defect of having emotions, and being caught up in a struggle for human kind to find a home, and escape imprisonment.


Here is what I need. What I need is in two phases. The first phase is something I definitely require to finish the game. The second phase is optional, but much appreciated.

Note: No need to animate the sprites. Game Maker does that for you. All I would need for each is to have each animation in a seperate image or frame.

Note 2: Sizes are a bit large 48*50, however the sprites don't have to be drawn that large, I can use Game Maker to increase the size and blow them up as needed.

Note 3: There is never any need to draw both walking left and walking right, unless something is different in the other walking sprite, primarily any image editor can flip a horizontal image.

Eve (Main Character)
1. Walking left, up, and down.
2. Walking left, up, and down holding a laser rifle.
3. Slashing with laser blade left, up and down.

Adam (Secondary character)
1. Walking left, up and down.
2. Walking left, up and down holding laser blade.

Lillith (Main villain)
1. Walking up, left and down
2. Attacking with energy blast left, up and down.

William (Ship captain)
1. Standing up, left and down. (No need for animation).

If someone is interested in helping me, I have some sketches of the characters I can send you. Just send me something showing your work, and you would draw a single frame of Eve so that I know you're on the right track. Of course I would send the sketches first.

The artist would be credited in the opening credits, and he or she would also be credited in the manual as well, with a link to their website.

On average, my games usually get a little over 1000 downloads. Sorry I don't have any cash, but that would mean over 1000 people would have your website URL. I expect this game to do better, because I am going to spam it everywhere when its done so I can get some hits on my website as well.
