Hi PixelJoint-users!

My name is Maxmilian Csuk and I have been working on my game "Everlands" for about one half year and it has finally reached a state where it can be called playable. Hence, I created a techdemo to show it to the world. It features two tutorials and one small mission. Firstly, here is a rather recent screenshot of the game:

(A screenshot showing a scene from the first tutorial-mission of "Everlands")

And here is the link to the techdemo:
http://everlands.imaxcs.com
Controls, which aren't explained in the tutorials:
S - take screenshot (is saved in the scr/-folder)
F6 - double game-speed
F7 - game-speed x 4
In the options-menu (you can reach it from the main-menu), you can also toggle the fullscreen-mode.
For informations about the different production-chains, see the index.html-file in the /doc-folder.

The game is developed using C++ and many platform-independent libraries including Allegro, TinyXML, Guichan and OpenLayer. The game is known to run under Windows and Linux (the OS I use for developing) and it should be portable to Mac without problems, although that hasn't been tested.

Now, what is my exact reason for posting here? As you might see from the screenshot or from the techdemo itself, the game uses prerendered 3D-graphics from a guy called Reiner Prokein, who offers free tilesets and sprites. However, I am not at all pleased with the look of the graphics. Furthermore, I have been a big fan of pixelart since I got to know it. So I am actually looking for a graphic artist who will work with me on this game. The current iso-perspective is 4:3 but it can easily be changed to the "correct" pixelart-iso 2:1, so don't worry about that. I am also willing to change the tile-size and the game resolution. For example, we could change the resolution to 400 x 300 and also make the tile-size smaller to give it a more blocky, "pixelly" look. (just an example)

Now, last but definitely not least, to meet the job-posting requirements:

1. Company Info
not a company, but only a single person

2. Job Info
the creation of the graphical aspects of the game "Everlands"
If somebody is only interested in providing a small part of the work, that's of course fine too, even if it's only a simple button. You will of course be credited.

3. Paid or not? and salary info?
Unfortunately, not paid

4. email address

maxi [at] imaxcs [dot] com
maximilian.csuk [at] gmx [dot] at
but you can also contact me over ICQ (#349374797) or by posting here.

5. company website
no real website yet, just the download-page: http://everlands.imaxcs.com
But I will of course create it when I find the time.

6. previous projects
a space-shooter and a pong-clone, but nothing of the size of "Everlands"

I hope I posted all the important informations about this project. If there is anything missing, please don't hesitate to tell me.

I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards,
Maximilian Csuk

Sorry for the double-post but I would really like to ask what's wrong with my post/game. :(
Is nobody interested because it is not paid? Or don't you like the game? Or is it the lack of a real website? Please tell me what I can improve to get people more interested in this project.

Thank you!

imaxcs, Unpaid projects like these are very unlikely to get much attention from interested pixellers here, unfortunately. You'll just have to wait and hope someone comes along. Making everything more professional will help, a website shouldn't do any harm.
