Pixel Joint Forum: Birthday pixel

Message

   It was my birthday on the 15th, so I thought I'd try and get a decent pixel to start my new year.

I'd like comment and any hints/thoughts/suggestions on what I can do to make it better. The head, wings, and background are still to be done.

	JPEG'D anyways... Aside from the horrible file format, I see a few things you could work on. First of all. All your dithering looks messy and un organized. It just looks randomly placed and it gives it a grainy look, rather then te texture of scales. The ankle looks like the foot has been glued on. You don't have a consistant light source. You've got higlights appearing as if the light is infront of him. And others that show the lightsource is above him.

	The jpg was just as I loaded it onto the web. it's a BMP at the minute on my machine, it'll be PNG when it's finished. I agree about the dithering, I'll see what I can do Which foot are you on about. I'm guessing it's the one of the left, I can't quite get it to look right, the actual ankle was supposed to be behind the foot, but I the perspectives off for that, so maybe I should keep it at it's current angle and tidy up the ankle. I'll sort out the light source when I sort out the dithering. Thanks for your comments

	The left foot, yes. I think the reason is because you have a line going from one side to the other. Like they're two seperate parts.
