Hi!
my name is Igor and I have to create isometric multiuser pixel museum (impm). This is for my 3rd year project in uni. what do you think about this idea ?
It is like Habbo Hotel, but my museum will be targeting pixel art creators.
So the basic idea is:
There is a museum 3-4-5 floor and each floor is different exhibition eg. 1st floor will be pixel cars, 2nd will be famous human sprites.
and users can log into this world where they can walk around the exhibition, chat  to each other and also comment artist work. Also there will be like a relax are where user could have a drink and chat more to some other players.
and thas about it.
please tell me what do you think about this idea.

I am creting Museum that will allow display pixel art and statues (e.g. famous people, cars, robots, etc.) on the Isometric map, and user can walk around them and chat to other players taht are logged on, also leave feedback to the artist. Also im thinking putting event hall that will allow big festivals and exibitions.
so I am just asking what do you PixelJoint users think about this idea, would you come to this museum and check out the designs that created other designers. I am 3rd year student this is my Major Project for my uni.
so its free im just trying to create new and interactive way to display and view pixel art.

ok I know what you mean about the habbo hotel I don't rally like that the pixel art is big, so ill probably make scale just like isocity and pixelmoon.
I am creating the back bone  of the project, the action script.
but when all this is created i will need help of the designers to put pixel art on it. so I hope some of the artist in here will be interested in that. Im still deciding on the scale exactly and i will post parameters here (h/w).
and sorry what do you mean by saing: "Perhaps asking for original art for a 'modern art wing' and you concentrate on the classics is a solution that will let your project grow best."

I think to ask people like eboay and other famous pixel artist to show there art in this museum for few months but after that community will create and they will post art, and i can chesk it out and put it on display, or some of your artist could join the project creating some of the art.
Please tell me twhat do YOU (pixel art designers) think about this idea and would YOU use the museum???

snader, to walk around the museum all you have to do is to register  and log-in... also user can leave feedback to artist and chat to each other...

I assume you'll present the template upon which you will add (layers?) for the submitted iso art pieces. If so, I thought it would be easier to have the art be original creations rather than recreations of established masterpieces. This is for two reasons. First, iso is not the most popluar pixelart style. Second, Creating iso works as paintings is quite the challenge evn for the most experienced. This is what I undertood from your post so maybe I have just misunderstood the concept. Honestly, I only read it because you originally posted in the wrong section and had to figure out where to put it. It deals with iso so it peaked my interest.



Personally, I don't know if I would use it to chat but you never know. If its amazing and the right kind of pixelart is there I would. I would also not join right away something like this because I need to be assured that the quality level of the site/art is decent at the very least. So to answer your question I would probably not join but if the quality is there I would probably make a piece to add to it.

Have you seen this site www.pixelmuseum.com? It's not iso but its well laid out and full of content.

That example you show is by the highly admired Totto Rena. If its that quality your going for and achieve, I will definitely make something for your project.
