Argh. If you want an "old style" book, you definately need some more saturated colors. Also I recommend looking at some pictures of these books. There is a pixel similar to this on the PJ website. Check that out, too. One last thing: Up the contrast!!!

MORE saturated? no. the colours are way too bright as is. he needs to tone down the sat.

allso in old books there are no standard letters, everything is calligraphied and stuff, and there are plenty images and decorations.

Less saturation as Blackdragon said. And the shape ok the pages are quite square... An old book might have some damage, folded pages, scratches, a piece torn off...

So, there is no visible wear and tear on the book... also, it will look better if you make the lines a bit more like words, or make it look like words, cause the book looks quite modern now... nice start though, keep it up

One thing i noticed which is really annoying is the really straight book marker lol.

At the end is should flop down off the edge of the pages maybe

There is too much of the visible inside of the cover at the bottom. Make it match the amount that you showing at the top (which appears to be significantly thinner).

The pages are currently bound together in much the same way as a magazine would be. I'm thinking that each page should touch the inside of the spine of the book.

The book cover is abnormally thick at the moment [and somewhat inconsistent]. They also connect to the spine like a binder... which isn't quite right.

Yes, these are very good edits thanks black dragon im working on my book and im trying not to copy your edits to much... but i can see there is a lot of texture in your paper and it dose acctually make it look old, is there any technic to this because at the moment im just trying to put random dots every were and its not reallyworking.....

Random dots are bad...
