This is my first piece of "work" that i do more then a cube and makes a door and a window, this picture has a "inside" and a roof well kind of anyway.

Now to the tips wanted part
the picture ---->

<----
The thing i wanna have tips for i how i can make a better looking roof, and the colors, to make it look more realistic.

At the moment that roof look a bit ... well it doesn't look like the roof is at the right spot. My own guess is that it's to wide but i guess it's more to it then that.

If you want to feel free to link to a good tutorial how to make this kind of art!

OBS! If the picture ain't visible it's due to my server is down  (someone except me turns the power of) if that happens it will be online again at 17:00 ( Swedish time ) OBS!

Here's some tips:

The roof is a bit wide and its not really a roof.  The house portion should extend all the way up to the top.  The roof simply covers the house with a thin layer of shingles, slate, or thatch.  So technically a cube with a prism on top of it isn't really correct.

To make it look more realistic, you will have to add details.  Some grain lines for wood or a brick pattern.  Even lines to represent siding will help.

Good luck! :)
