Hello, currently me and a small residual team of spriters have started a small gaming project, that we intend to take to commercial heights. As of now only a small margin of work has been done in the field of character design, and even less in the visual game design such as tilesets, props, etc. which has brung me here today. Right now we are in need of talented pixel aritsts that are willing to stand up to fill the following positions or tasks: Character Design (2 Of 3 Positions Open) Monster Design (1 Of 2 Positions Open)Updated! Tileset/Visual World/Scenario Interface Design (1 Of 2 Positions Open)Updated! Animated Props (1 Of 2 Positions Open) Icon Design (1 Of 1 Positions Open) Non-Directed Animation (1 Of 1 Positions Open) The above are simply insights into the tasks of the genres an artist will be entering into if he/she choosing an according category. Now the deadlines are just standard average deadlines, and many exceptions do apply in accordance with difficulty or the desired quality, and in cases of notified and excused leave. Yet if a deadline isn't met the artrist will be contacted on the first two offenses and relieved of his/her position upon the third offense, unless with a valified excuse. Character Design: Up to 80$ (Full) (Expect Exceptions) The above references to the basic submission commission guidelines. Character and Monster design submissions must consist of all of the designated stances, and in reference to Prop and Non-Direct animation, it means at one set with all 3 directionals along with at least 2 variations of the same peice. Your style, and pixel format is far from what I'm looking for. I'm looking for people that have a quaint sense of both the format and style for the game. Plus they should be multi-talented and at least have a fair amount of medicore quality, diverse genre, pixel submissions or references. I've already looked through your gallery and seen that you're fair at still art, but you lack the skills in proper animation technique, which currently a higher-end experience is a major asset that all applicable spriters/pixel artists should already possess.

In regards to icons I'm very precise on what I'm looking for so if you would kindly present an update to date example of any given item within a high-tech theme within the borders of a 24x24 frame, it would help me decipher your stance under this job position. Thank you.

Just a warning, be careful of the topic creator.
Since the work has no deadline, and you will only get paid when the game is done and beta tested. In short, you will never know when you will get paid. If ever For more details, read here http://www.pixel-arts.org/pixelation/index.php?topic=3514.new;boardseen#new He also made a lot of chaos in different threads. Sorry, but everything was explained in the job thread already. Also you are making slander by saying the artists will never know, as I stated before due to the infancy of this project and the beta testing stages a date will not be decided until the beta testing has begun so artists will not have to be rushed or pressured. Though if an interestee would like to anything about the job, I have already said that they can contact me by doing so.
Also in your reference to making chaos I would appreciate it if you told the true story. Basically I gave some hard critique and was henseforth attacked for doing so ontop of any work I had done, so the chaos was simply myself being attacked and defending myself. That is all.
Lastly, I do not appreciate what you are doing, you are simply as I shall restate myself, reacting without knowing to trash this thread.

I'm afraid I have to agree with Solinus, over at Pixelation.
The job post contains many misuses of terms, and some issues are not clear yet when I asked you to correct them (it's for everyone's benefit, I was trying to help you) you attacked me. You were banned from Pixelation because you are too immature. Anyone looking at this thread, please check the reference Solinus gave. Grow up. |

I'm not going to sit down and let someone get fooled by your "Project", the people here in pixeljoint who are interested will just get their hopes up and loose a lot of time working for you. In regards to your hard critics.. Do you call "Put some effort beyond the paint bucket", "show at least some effort other than just showing an outlined animation" and other arrogant remarks very helpful? that's just naming a few of your antics. You boasted about your talent regarding your years working in 3d graphics and leading teams in different projects, but when asked about your portfolio or any past works you couldn't even named one And when it was your turn to make some graphics, you didn't even have the sense of perspective/shading for a small building <yeah, years of your experience in 3d paid off>. How ironic with your "Paint bucket effort" when you don't have the faintest idea what your are talking about. So, what do we learned here? 1. Arrogance will lead your nowhere 2. Lying and pretending to people would be your downfall Goodbye and I hope you follow Frychiko's advice "grow up" Edited by Solinus - 21 March 2007 at 5:37pm |

i have to agree. the conduct of this member has done nothing by raise suspicions for me. so much in fact i am locking and removing contact info from this thread. you got angry asking perfectly valid questions.
you need to learn much before you can start hiring people, and i pity anyone who already took this job. |
