   Hi, first post here ^_^

I've been working on this picture of a mermaid/snake...  I'm still new to pixelling and this is my first piece that's more on the complicated side, so I would appreciate some suggestions on how to improve it.

Agh, I just realized that I forgot to do the hair at the very bottom... ignore that for now ^_~.  I was also considering putting a swirly pattern in the four corners of the box behind the egg shape.

All suggestions are welcome, thanks for your time ^_^

	that is so cool. and fyi, a human/snake hybrid is called a Nāga

	It reminds me the old Style of Disney's Hercules tv series... well, i can sugest you to add an small bright effect to the circle-thing she holds... or even better, you could turn it into a mirror, where the Human form of the Naga smiles or glares...(i'm not sure, but as far as i know a common habit between nagas was to take the form of females to seduce youths and eat them later... like the succubus)

	Thanks for the suggestions ^_^ I have aa'd the egg shape (adding a colour), and the inside of the sphere (adding another colour, which I will use for more highlights if I keep it). I have put a shine on the orb, but I am undecided as to whether I should continue with that or not. The mirror idea is a bit beyond me at the moment, I'm afraid ^_^ EDIT: got rid of the shine and extra colour, made some tweaks and have submitted it to the gallery Edited by MashPotato - 25 March 2007 at 2:00pm

	VERY nicely done! :D I'd personally add a white shine on the ball she's holding, just to add some volume to it :)

	Thank you ^_^ I ended up taking out the shine in the final version (http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/19305.htm), but maybe I'll put it back in (using the background colour this time) when I get home... I'll try it out ^_^
