Message

   Hi there, I'm new to Pixel Joint, so maybe I don't understand the rules

I uploaded 2 of my own original pixel artworks last night, only to have them rejected because I was told they weren't original?  My account name is keithburgun, the art was done by Keith Burgun, I am Keith Burgun.  

I don't understand.

Anyway please someone give me a clue as to why this happened becuase this site seems really cool and I just got into pixel art recently and I think that this site could be a good encouragement for me to continue working on it.

	oh ok i resubmitted them and now I got this: REASON: Your piece was not able to gather the score needed for inclusion in the gallery. what does that mean

	It means that most people voted that your art shouldn't be included in the gallery. Once you reach level two at the PJ gallery, you can go to the Public Queue and choose whether you want someone's art to get submitted or not. If too many people say it shouldn't be submitted, it probably needs improvement.

What are you saying? Should we remove that piece from the gallery or lower our standards? Neither seems like a very good decision to me. Keep in mind that we don't always use the scores when approving submissions. With a lot of pieces it's obvious enough whether it should be approved or rejected, so the decision can be made without the score the community has given... and since us mods have slightly varying views on what should and shouldn't be in the gallery, it's possible that something like this happens. Ensellitis' suggestion would be your best bet if you want this to get approved. Besides, what's wrong with improving your work?
