Pixel Joint Forum: Question about Palettes

   Thinking of getting back into pixel art..only made a few simple ones in the past 

When selecting your own palettes..I know you don't just pick a shade of color randomly..there is more to it..

If you want your whole entire piece to have like the same shade/tone..I know something about your colors have to be the same, but I have been confused of what the solution is..

Can anyone answer this simple question please?
