Hey, I'm new to this pixel art thing, and I have really been amazed at what can be done in such small amounts of space. I have especially been intrigued by the game Golden Sun on GBA. I was wondering about the color theory they used, and if there is a reference I can use to learn about it. To me it looks like they just put random colors, but it looks awesome. Can someone help me? Thanks
For reference purposes, here is a Golden Sun sprite:

read a tutorial, or maybe a specialized site in Golden Sun sprites could be the answer. a reference? you have one under your nose. zoom it and study.
