not quite sure what you did. as far as i can see, you changed my second darkest tone.
is there anything else you changed, or thats it?
and yes, ill desautrate that brown a wee bit.
edit: HAHA i am going blind. you changed all the colors!
ill desaturate a few of the background colors, but i like the forground ones bright Edited by eckered - 25 June 2007 at 6:24pm |

That little bit of color change helps a lot. I might suggest maybe a beam of strong light just hitting the base of the main trunk coming from the top right corner-ish?

I think it might be a good idea to use smaller ditherdots on objects farter from the viewer to add to the illusion of depth here. Depending on the mood, I would make the sunbeams whitish yellow for a bright and green forest or a rather desaturated brownish but still very light color for a clearing in a dark, woody forest.
One reference that might help with the lightbeams is this great piece by jamoon or ilkke or someone, I'll edit with the link once I find it.
EDIT: Here it is. Edited by Monkey 'o Doom - 26 June 2007 at 4:14pm |

aight MoD -will do that with the ditherodts. -not really interested in adding more then two more colors, which im kinda saving for the bush, so i have a nice, round, 8 colors. thanks for the ref though. i was actually using a piece by philipptr (lol butchered his name) as refrence for the light rays. |

The rays are off to a good start. However, they seem to come from that one tree rather than around it, dithering may work it out. kutgw.
