Folds are hard, with just 2 shades of every color.. (and sometimes 1 more for outline, check other real trainers..).. But I will try offcourse.. Im going to redo the face...
You are right about the feets and the shoulders, ill try to change his shoulders a bit, and hope it fits on his legs than :p

I think everything is around right now, exept for the cap...

If you look at the references your piece's proportions are way out of whack from theirs. Basically it's too big. Also, the head is now too round, they have a point at the chin and they still have a forehead, temples, skull... etc.

Started one this weekend in 64 x 64, but I threw it away, started thisone today but forgot to do it 64 x 64.. maybe I will just fully redo it..

much better with the hat and the head.  now work on the body some.

his left (our right) arm is too curved, it looks bowed.  bring it closer to his body. the shading i used on mine's shirt is from his arm.  so you need to give it a reason to be there. 

his legs need tweaked a little bit, the look very stubby.

add some selective outlining, see min or others in the gallery for a ref.

all the angles need to go the same way.  his crotch is like ) but his arms suggest ( which makes it look like he is twisting his hips alot

does look a sh*t load better though, keep at it

It's a de facto collaboration, basically. Some people saw this piece by Mirre and decided to do the same, pixelling themselves in the style of pokemon trainers.

the torso looks a bit large for me, and the arms looks like tentacles. and that neck need at least one more pixel under the rigth eye.

they look like tentacles because the pose of his left arm is imposible! he has no bones. give that poor trainer an elbow.

I think it looks much better now. Maybe some brighter highlights on his hat and shirt?

And where is his hair? :P

FOr all of you who have seen my other wip topic: I should have known before I would not be able to get my self to work on it.. Ill just make them some other present, but not something great like I had planned... Im not able to make what they are worth... Im a week im going with vacation, so I hope I can finish some pixel pieces before then so I go away with a nice feeling...
Metaru, the new pose looks great! But I cant really get it right.. I started with copying your pose, and then move it untill I had it the way I wanted it, and that was just exactly the same pose I started with :p Its still not right I think, he is missing a bit of a shoulder on his left, our right...
I changed the colors, I really like it you made the colors more what they are instead of the greyness it was... Remade them all myself exept for the t-shirt one... I dont have a good program here exept paint, so I have to check later if there are double colors in it now...
I dont have that much hair at the moment, normally I let it grow for a year, than its a thumb long, and then its all cut off, then its a milimetre long, and then in summer, when its very short I wear a cap sometimes.. but yes its more hair than nothing, so I added some hair.. You are right about the eyes, tryd to change it before but I got the samething you got now, its facing the other direction, but not to us.. Now I changed the position of the eyes, and it looks ok, exept for that the eyes are less visible...
