To start you should try making it a little less square, it looks like a
strip of overgrown turf right now. The copy and pasted flips are really obvious. You should
take the extra little time to make new texture.
Also try picking cooler shades and warmer highlights to help add depth and appeal. My color edit and yours: ![]() ![]() |

Here is what I did. I kinda don't want it too bright because the player's eyes don't need to get lost when fighting monsters on it :P
![]() Thanks for the help. More is welcome |

Hello Fhqwhgads,
My guess is that you want to tile this evenly across a large canvas? If so, please remove the edge because this will leave breaks between the tiles. When tilling this I noticed a really obvious repeating pattern. I know it is hard to get a good flowing of single tiles. Usually you want to match the edge shapes together. The form on the right should match to the one on the left and the top should match the bottom. Things will be getting dynamic when one of the edges is matching the edge on the other side. But using single tiles, it will be really hard to get a large canvas filled convincingly. So if it is at all possible use different tiles that can be matched to eachother. Or even better mixed tiles with dirt/flowers/stones etc.. Good luck! Best regards from M.E. |

The edges will go ontop of other ground tiles such as a road or dirt. |

Hello Fhqwhgads,
The middle 32x32 from a 76x74 tile? Please post the repeating tile as the guessed middle I used is still really stitchy-like. Do you have the road/dir tiles also? I wish I could see them! Best regards from M.E. |
