Hi ViC,
Actually I like the non-anatomical-right figure you have. A lot of things are out of proportion but they give a nice atmosphere. I only comment on the things I would change in this piece. 1. Face. It looks blurry. almost if there is no nose. It is hard to do a casting shadow from the cap and also make some facial decissions at the same time on this small image. Either go for a lot of cast on the face or go for facial expression and detail on beard and other elements. 2. There should be a little more shoulder on him but probably only 1 pix extra. 3. make the flesh pixel on his right (our left) arm go away. So that you have one line. I like the sausage arm :) 4. Feet: If the pants are hanging over the shoes exagerate them. Otherwise give the shoes more pixels. Maybe a shadow below his feet to give him a nice stand?! 5. Make the leash on the dog nicer. The line is a bit too thick for such small and lovely dog. 6. Give the knee area a little less brighter color. 7. Maybe throw in some of the dithering on the belly the same way you dithered the cap and pants. As well as on the dog??!?! Best regards from M.E. |

Alright, thanks for your help, M.E.
Here's the update ![]() I tried my best to improve this piece, but I don't know if I succeeded.. Also, still don't like the arms... I just can't do them in a decent way >_> Anyway, I'm still open for C&C, so let em come :D |

You shouldnt put yourself down saying you can't do it. Because that edit shows that you can. Those arms are very well done.

Hello ViC,
Indeed, listen to Red Beret. Don't put yourself down! There has been a significant progress! Good Job!! Still the feet look like they are chopped off ![]() I've made a small edit on the things I would change: The hand seemed a bit too large. The watch was facing a kind of strange direction. I have lifted his left breast a bit to accomodate for the direction he is facing. Again, lots of great improvements and I'm sure you are going to be making a pretty piece! The left hand probably will be having the dogg leash? Right? Because it would need a bit of shadow but you can work that in when you are making it fit. Kind regards from M.E. |
