Well, I am tired of being rejected from the gallery because I don't know better so here is what I was trying to get crititcism on :

Please and thank you!

[EDIT] I forgot, but this is also my first attempt at environment(turfs, etc.) So I am not that good with shading so I used a lot of spray tool..sorry, but the water is because the person I was working for asked me to do it, haha....in full, they were happy with the picture.

But you're posting here to get better at shading and all that other good stuff, yes? So, let's ditch the spray tool. The only thing it would be acceptable for in this piece is, well, the spray (the ocean spray), but you could still get better results by hand.

If this were my piece and I wanted to improve it, I'd pick one texture, make a single tile of it, say 32x32, and really work on making just that one little patch look good--look like rocks or sand or grass or whatever you're trying to make. I'd use references. I'd use Google Images. Then once I nailed that one texture, I'd apply the techniques I'd learned over the large surfaces on the main piece, and then I'd do it again and again until the whole piece was re-textured.

It's not a very exciting process, but I think there's a lot to be gained from it.

I'll work on that, but I am done working on this piece as the person I did it for is not going to pay me, and it's not something I was really enthusiastic to do, so I'll get something up I actually like :)
