Just mah schools mascot. I drew it, and it came out pretty good, so I guess i'll pixel it.

But before I start shading, and adding colors, I want to know if the shading/lighting looks good.

The shading does look good. Remember when coloring to really pinpoint the lighting on the nose and teeth. It will make it or brake it. I don't know not knowing your mascot. Here the eyes seem tooooooo cute, almost anime looking. Coloring will help that tho.

The NST I don't like at all :(

Skeedles, let me say again that your pixel skills are so vastly improved that anything you do is amazing. I can't even believe where you started. You deserve so much respect and admiration. You are the definitive example of why I still try to help those who first join us and seem to get nowhere. Every so often a true jem is polished and you shine the brightest of them all.
emo out...

harsh crit in...
I know school logos are usually made by students and the type is often a mess and all. I am such a type nerd that what bothers me here is the stroke weights being so inconsistent. Not the way they randomly cross the baseline but the actual weight of each letter. For example the letter S in any font is a balanced Mspace but if seen by the eye as 50% opaque. You stroke being thinner that the N and next to the emptyness of the 20% T makes it seem even thinner. For the same reason in reverse the N is too heavy. The T seems the best of the 3. I'd lighten the N to visually balance with the T. The visually weigh the S to balance the space out. AA the rough spot as needed when coloring.

Much better. Maybe just open the left downstorke of the N to curve a little like the one before, maybe 1 pix thinner too. Its hard to say now :/

Wow, skeddles. You've definitely improved since joining PJ. Awesome progress.

Maybe you should try shading the text?

Thank you! I'll probably do the text last.

How does it look? Unless it needs fixing(please tell me if it does, I want this to be perfect), i just need the teeth, nose, collar, and text. In other words, I can most likely finish it this weekend(if I don't get too wrapped up in developing my website).

the teeth look a bit grey-ish and blurry... anyway... nice piece, maybe change the N a bit (the right side is too round imo)... nice job though
