   I never have any time dude!

I'm currently in school, going to ITT to get my major in Multimedia and Digital Entertainment, and on top of that I have a full time job working in a factory making buoys, and I mean, I sketch and all that good stuff, and I think of all these good ideas that I'd like to do in pixel art but then when it comes down to me having free time, I sit down at my computer, open up MSPaint, and just draw a blank.

Like, for some reason, it's just really tiring and i kind of hate it... Maybe because pixel art is a very time consuming form of art, and time is something I just dont have...

It really sucks because I'm seeing all these guys who when I first came here were okay, and now they kick ass, and I still kind of suck and its discouraging...

I dunno, I just wish I had more time.

	I also find myself raring to get some pixel art (or art in general) done but then when i open up a page or whatever, i suddenly lose the will to carry on (lol). Sucks, but still, sometimes i'm able. Perhaps it's cus i have much more time than you (no school or job.. lol). It's hard to improve your art unless you practice lots. However you say you sketch and things, which is good and will help you improve your art in general, therefore your pixelart, anyway. Perhaps not pixelart-specifics such as dithering or anti-aliasing but yanow. I don't know what to suggest, but good luck finding the time and getting rid of that artists block!

	When I get artist's block. I edit something. I just poke around in the gallery until I find something that makes me think "I could make that better." And then I do. Not to submit or anything, of course, just for fun/practice. The reason I do this is that for me, the most difficult part of a new piece is getting started. Line art is hard and something I really, REALLY struggle with. Speaking of which, you could also just check out the line art thread and start coloring.

	I usually have a hard time with subject matter too. if i feel like making something but nothing's coming out then I spend some time viewing a lot of work i admire. sometimes it kickstarts me. same thing with my actual drawing, except I've pretty much stopped drawing for months, I guess that isn't good. but same as lar, I have more time on my hands, usually time that should be spent on studying or some BS like that. :D if you REALLY havea good idea then sketch it out when it's still fresh in your head and then apply it to pixels yo.

	Necropost, I know, but relevant to topic. To any and all emos out there, just remember this: "When life gives you lemons you make lemonade... then sell it for an arm and a leg." No matter how bad your life may be, in some small perverse way you can take comfort that there will always be someone worse off than you. Trying to compete for emo of the month is like trying to compete for leper of the month. Gee that sounds like fun. Again, sorry to necropost, but when I saw this topic I just had to respond.
