For this piece i wanted to make a bold cartoony black outline on this guy and i think the AA's not too bad...

It's a nice design, and a good start 

Some points:
-The aa is a bit too much--having so much outside of the black lines actually takes away from the boldness and makes it rather blurry, I think--so I suggest scaling that down.  On the other hand, some curves (the eyes for example), don't have any aa at all, and need to be consistent with the rest
-the lineart could use some cleaning up, there's some double pixels and some curves that could use a little smoothing
-I would use the darkest shade of black you have inside the mouth, as that should be quite dark
-the outline is broken on some of the hair on our right side
